Description

St. Charles County Government is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to remove and replace 101 existing metal-clad exterior windows at the Historic St. Charles County Courthouse, also known as the Executive Building. The turnkey scope includes labor, materials, equipment, disposal, preparation, framing or blocking, installation, flashing, sealants, insulation, interior drywall, plaster and trim repairs, painting, ceiling-grid repairs, protection of existing finishes, debris removal, and site restoration. Proposed windows must be Marvin Signature Ultimate Single Hung units with specified casing and subsill, or an approved equivalent, with metal-clad exteriors and wood interiors. An alternate covers eight additional cupola windows. The contractor must field-measure openings, maintain a weather-tight and secure building, work generally Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., comply with Missouri prevailing-wage requirements, and provide required licenses, insurance, performance and payment bonds when applicable, and at least two similar-scope customer references. The prime contractor must self-perform at least 40% of the original contract work. The bid package includes a buyer-provided bid form and other certifications, including work-authorization, domestic-products, and anti-discrimination certifications.
