Description
St. Charles County Government is soliciting a contractor to remove snow and ice from the private roadways and parking lots at Family Arena. The site includes approximately 160,000 square feet of priority access roads and parking in Zone 1, approximately 400,000 square feet of primary patron parking in Zone 2, and approximately 450,000 square feet of additional patron parking in Zone 3. Zone 3 work will be performed only when directed by the County. The contractor must provide snow-removal equipment and labor, including twelve-foot and ten-foot snow plows, salt spreaders, a backhoe loader, and a skid-steer loader, and must quote hourly equipment rates and per-ton material rates for rock salt, cinders, sand, and any alternate materials. Services will be initiated only upon County authorization and generally must be completed one hour before scheduled events. The initial contract term is approximately twelve months, with two optional twelve-month renewals. The contractor must self-perform the services unless the County gives prior written permission for subcontracting.
