Description
The Town of Manchester is soliciting proposals from qualified structural engineering firms to provide on-call services for municipal infrastructure. The scope may include reviewing structural calculations and submittals, preparing calculations for traffic-control signals and light-pole loading, designing retaining walls, foundations, and other small structural components, inspecting light poles, span poles, and mast arms, and providing general consultation and minor structural design support. The consultant must have a Professional Engineer licensed in Connecticut supervising all structural work and demonstrate similar municipal or transportation-related experience. Proposals must address the firm's history and experience, relevant projects, organization and staffing, key-personnel resumes, project approach, litigation or arbitration history, availability for on-call response, hourly rates, and reimbursable expenses. The initial term runs from the estimated November 2026 award through December 31, 2027, with three possible one-year extensions. The solicitation also requires specified insurance coverage and a completed Living Wage Certification.
