Description
The City of Blue Ash is soliciting bids for modifications to existing traffic signal detection and adaptive signal operations at selected intersections. The base work includes furnishing and installing Econolite EPIQ radar detection systems, reprogramming and relocating existing radar and video detection equipment, modifying traffic signal controllers and phasing, installing a CCTV IP camera system at Pfeiffer Road and BP/Wawa Drive, and implementing a cloud-based Econolite Centracs Mobility adaptive traffic signal control system. The system will support up to 45 signalized intersections, with 24 intersections operating in adaptive mode, including required software, licensing, programming, testing, training, documentation, and maintenance support. The project also includes eight high-speed Ethernet radios at five Cornell Road intersections, traffic-control and signal-maintenance work, and related cabling, conduit, poles, hardware, programming, and testing. Alternate One covers siren-activated emergency vehicle preemption at nine Glendale-Milford/Pfeiffer corridor intersections, while Alternate Two covers preemption at 13 Reed Hartman Highway corridor intersections. The contractor must maintain traffic, provide required labor and materials, furnish a bid guaranty and contract bond, comply with prevailing-wage requirements, and complete the work no later than June 1, 2027. The specifications require a 60-calendar-day performance test and include one-year software service, a five-year CCTV warranty, and other equipment warranties.
