Description
The City of Hudson is soliciting electronic bids for the re-bid of Phase 2 of its Hudson City Hall water service line replacement project. The work includes approximately 290 linear feet of 6-inch DR-14 ductile iron waterline installed by horizontal directional drilling, with tracer wire, fittings, thrust restraints, testing, disinfection, connections to existing mains, pavement and landscape restoration, and related traffic, erosion, utility-location, surveying, mobilization, and cleanup work. The project also includes boring a 16-inch casing pipe, resetting or removing fire hydrant components, and cutting and capping the existing 8-inch Akron water service and abandoning its meter vault. Bidders must submit the electronic bid through Bid Express, complete the bid forms electronically, provide the required bid security, submit the bidder's qualifications statement, non-collusion affidavit, proposed subcontractor list, and supporting qualification information. The qualifications statement requires at least three years of similar experience, at least three comparable completed projects, three references, financial information, and notarization. The work must be substantially complete by December 4, 2026, and fully complete by December 11, 2026. Subcontracting is limited to 70% of the contract price, and the successful contractor must provide performance/payment bonding and specified insurance after award.
