Description
Avondale School District seeks a turnkey structured cabling installation for its Early Childhood Center. The scope includes approximately 150,000 feet of RJ45 cabling, approximately 20,000 miscellaneous installation components, and two racks. The project also calls for Category 6 cabling to network drops and closets, augmented Category 6 cabling to wireless access point locations, patch panels, outlets and connectors, cable pathways and supports, terminations, labeling, testing, certification, and installation documentation. Bidders must provide a complete bill of materials and pricing, identify E-Rate-eligible and ineligible items, and include their E-Rate provider identifiers. The work is subject to Michigan prevailing-wage requirements; contractors and subcontractors must provide proof of state registration with their bids. A bid security of at least 5% of the base bid is required. The successful bidder must provide 100% performance and payment bonds if its proposal is $50,000 or more. The project schedule anticipates installation from December 22, 2026, through July 30, 2027, with substantial completion by July 30, 2027.
