Description
Amtrak is seeking a qualified construction contractor to replace the defective automatic transfer switch serving Building 8 at the Los Angeles Maintenance Yard. The work includes field verification, furnishing and installing a new 480V automatic transfer switch, removing and disposing of the existing switch, electrical coordination, testing and commissioning, and final turnover documentation. This is a request for letters of interest and qualifications ahead of an anticipated invitation to bid. The letter must be no more than 10 one-sided typed pages and include firm or joint-venture information, an authorized representative’s contact details, project manager resumes or qualifications, and evidence of relevant experience and adequate resources. A W-9 is requested if the firm is not currently registered as an Amtrak supplier.
