Description
The Dare County Airport Authority is soliciting sealed bids for the Building Obstruction Removal project at Dare County Regional Airport. The work includes demolition of a warehouse structure; removal of the existing building slab, foundations, sidewalk, loading dock pavement, walls, and foundations; backfilling; removal of electrical gates, gate controls, and fencing; disconnection of electric, water, sewer, and other utilities before demolition; asbestos abatement and lead-based paint removal and disposal at a properly licensed facility; and installation of new chain-link fencing. Bids must include a bid bond, cash deposit, or certified check equal to 5% of the total base bid. Bidders must be registered as prequalified bidders with the North Carolina Department of Transportation at bid opening, and subcontractors must be registered as prequalified subcontractors at the beginning of the project. The contract is subject to federal contract provisions, including Davis-Bacon requirements, civil-rights requirements, debarment and suspension, lobbying restrictions, recovered-materials requirements, and applicable requirements under 49 CFR Part 26.
