Russell County Commission is soliciting competitive bids to install a fire alarm system at the Old Post Office. The successful contractor must furnish all materials, transportation, labor, and equipment necessary to perform the work and comply with applicable material, construction, quality, building-code, and other state and local requirements. Bidders must possess all applicable county, city, and state licenses. Proof of liability insurance and workers’ compensation insurance must be submitted before work begins. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for November 2, 2026, at the project site. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder meeting the specifications and terms; the contract start date will be scheduled after official commission approval.
