The Department of Veterans Affairs, through the Orlando VA Healthcare System, plans to issue an unrestricted, full-and-open RFP for two full-time-equivalent, on-site diagnostic radiologists with differing subspecialties in neuroradiology, musculoskeletal radiology, or body imaging. Physicians will work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding federal holidays, with no off-hours coverage, on-call duties, or overtime. Each radiologist must produce 9,000 work relative value units annually and demonstrate proficiency in computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound, and diagnostic X-ray interpretation. The updated presolicitation materials confirm that named key personnel and substitute or backup radiologists, along with CVs, board-certification or eligibility documentation, licenses, and other credentialing information, will be required with the eventual proposal. Credentialing and privileging will occur after award but before services begin; onboarding is anticipated within 60 days of award notification, with VetPro initiated within three days of the first notification. The requirement is a new contract with no incumbent, and no response or expression of interest is required at the presolicitation stage. The anticipated period of performance remains February 1, 2027, through January 31, 2032.
