Description
Echols County is seeking a dependable Part-Time Landfill Operator to operate heavy equipment and assist with the safe and efficient operation of the county landfill. Duties include operating loaders, excavators, skid steers, compactors, and tractors; directing and assisting customers with waste disposal; verifying customer eligibility; inspecting loads for prohibited materials; spreading, compacting, and covering waste; maintaining roads and drainage areas; performing daily equipment inspections; removing litter; and opening and closing the facility. The position requires experience operating heavy equipment, a valid Georgia driver's license, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screening. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and a CDL is preferred but not required.
