Description
The City of Springfield is seeking a contractor to provide once-weekly residential solid waste collection and disposal for approximately 1,200 customers. The contractor must provide new 96-gallon carts, labor, collection equipment, two public cardboard dumpsters, and three City-use dumpsters, with weekly dumpster service. Solid waste must be disposed of at a fully permitted Subtitle D municipal solid waste landfill, with the contractor responsible for disposal costs. The contractor must provide monthly reports detailing the amount and composition of solid waste and recycled materials, support continuous-improvement and environmental-protection efforts, and address specified special-waste services. Proposals must include technical and cost portions, corporate qualifications, municipal references, a detailed response to the scope of work, and the completed Proposal Submission Form and Costs Table Form. Optional recycling, bulk, and yard-waste services may be proposed separately but are not part of the requested base service.
