Description
The Town of Cary is soliciting bids for one horizontal shafted screw conveyor for conveying dewatered biosolids cake at the South Cary Water Reclamation Facility Biosolids Dryer Building. The specified unit is approximately 16 inches in diameter and 46 feet 5 inches long, with 304 stainless steel troughs and components, carbon steel screw flights, AR235 liners, covers, guarding, bearings, inlets, discharges, gaskets, fasteners, and a complete gearmotor drive assembly. The specification also includes an emergency-stop pull-cable system, shop assembly, shop drawings for review before fabrication, surface preparation, and a complete functional system. The supplier must furnish, deliver, and off-load the equipment, including freight and associated fees, and provide a new, unused, fully assembled and serviced unit. Bids must be submitted on the provided bid proposal form through the North Carolina electronic Vendor Portal by 2:00 PM Eastern Time on October 14, 2026. The Town will award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, subject to the stated specifications and any approved exceptions.
