Description
The City of Raleigh, through its Engineering Services Department, is soliciting sealed bids for the final construction package of the federally funded Wake BRT New Bern Avenue bus rapid transit project. The work includes construction of 19 station platforms at 19 unique corridor sites, including concrete foundations and platforms, structural steel, metal panels, windscreens, station amenities, and minor site work. The project also includes utility improvements supporting station operations, including new electrical service, intelligent transportation systems, and minor storm drainage. The contract time for Area 3 is 30 months. NCDOT specifications will govern, and the project includes non-standard excavation and removal involving rock, cobblestone, and streetcar tracks. Bid security equal to 5% of the bid is required. DBE requirements have been revised to align with federal guidelines. Or-equal submittals are required within 20 days of advertisement issuance when applicable.
