Description
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is soliciting two new, current-production, towable stainless-steel salt conveyors, each approximately 24 inches wide by 70 feet long. Each unit must include a self-contained diesel engine with hydraulic drive, radial stacking capability, a stainless-steel hopper, road-portable undercarriage, pintle hitch, brakes, lighting, safety equipment, and controls. The conveyors must move commercial-grade road salt at a minimum rate of 300 tons per hour and meet the detailed dimensional, material, safety, electrical, and applicable-code requirements in the specifications. The successful vendor must deliver one completed unit to PennDOT District 10 in Indiana, Pennsylvania, and one to PennDOT District 12 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, within 90 days after receipt of the purchase order. The scope also includes OEM manuals supplied on thumb drives in PDF format, warranty coverage of at least two calendar years or the manufacturer's standard commercial term, and factory-trained mechanic and operator training. The Worker Protection and Investment Certification Form must be submitted with the bid.
