Description
IDEA Public Schools is soliciting proposals for a unified, cloud-native Firewall as a Service platform for its Texas-based charter school network. The solution must provide approximately 87,257 instructional licenses and include licensing, implementation, configuration, support, maintenance, centralized policy management, identity-aware access controls, advanced threat prevention, secure web and DNS filtering, application visibility and control, secure Internet access, monitoring, reporting, and integration with existing network and security infrastructure. The platform must support Zero Trust Architecture aligned with NIST Special Publication 800-207 or an equivalent recognized framework, and must be cloud-native rather than appliance- or on-premises-based. Content filtering and the GenAI risk module are to be separately identified as E-Rate-ineligible add-ons. The initial contract term is three years, with up to two additional one-year renewal options. Required service levels include 99.99% monthly availability, 24x7x365 critical-incident support, defined incident response times, advance maintenance notification, service credits, escalation procedures, and performance reporting. Vendors must provide complete eligible and ineligible pricing, installation and implementation capabilities, E-Rate compliance information, a valid SPIN and FCC Registration Number, and the required proposal forms, certifications, references, pricing schedule, and supporting documentation. Addendum 1 confirms that all pricing line items must be supplied, manufacturer-led implementation and 24x7 support are permitted while the respondent remains the prime contractor and SPI-billing service provider, and a single submission method is sufficient.
