Description
The California Department of Toxic Substances Control is soliciting a California Certified Small Business to support the Environmental Justice Advisory Council. The contractor will develop and execute annual outreach and engagement plans; produce public education, digital, and physical outreach materials; organize and participate in community meetings and events; conduct focused engagement with diverse, disadvantaged, linguistically isolated, and historically underrepresented communities; maintain a public contact list; and gather and analyze community information. Additional work includes monthly status meetings and reporting, assessment of the Department's existing public engagement strategies with recommendations, and provision of environmental justice subject matter experts as needed. Required response materials include small-business certification, a budget detail, staff resumes, minimum-qualification certification and narrative, three recent references, a bidder declaration, and commercially useful function evaluation forms. The estimated contract amount is not to exceed $125,000, with a one-year term and an option for one additional year.
