Description
The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture is soliciting bids for ambulance and emergency medical services during the 2027 Farm Show. The contractor must provide three fully staffed ambulances, with two EMT-certified attendants or drivers and five EMT- or paramedic-certified attendants, for scheduled coverage from January 8 through January 16, 2027. Two ambulances are required on January 8, and an additional ambulance is required for the high school rodeo on January 9. The scope includes first-aid assistance, emergency response throughout the Farm Show Complex and parking areas, patient transport, medical treatment-room and arena coverage, ALS equipment, oxygen and suction equipment, cardiac monitors or defibrillators, approved medications, radios, treatment logs, and replacement ambulance and staffing efforts when an on-site ambulance is transporting a patient. The contractor must hold a current Pennsylvania Department of Health advanced life support ambulance-service license and provide the required Worker Protection and Investment Certification Form with the bid. The initial contract term is one year, with up to four mutually agreed one-year renewals and annual increases capped at 3%.
