Description
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is soliciting one hand-feed, lightweight, trailer-mounted pavement testing core drill, with specifications referencing the KOR-IT Model K-160. The unit must include a minimum six-horsepower air-cooled gasoline engine, sliding-gear transmission, hand-feed drill head with at least 24 inches of carriage travel, 12 VDC water pump, a 60-gallon water tank, safety guards, storage, tools, and a single-axle trailer rated for at least 3,000 pounds. The trailer must include the required hitch, jacks, chocks, spare tire, safety chains, compliant LED lighting, identification tag, and highway-towing capability. The successful vendor must provide applicable operator, parts, service, engine, transmission, body, sub-frame, and added-equipment manuals in PDF format on a USB thumb drive, along with the specified warranty. The Worker Protection and Investment Certification Form (BOP-2201) must be submitted with the bid. Delivery is required within 120 days after receipt of the purchase order, and bidders must specify delivery time in their bids. The specifications also permit larger components or a larger gross axle weight rating when recommended by the manufacturer's engineering department for proper weight distribution and overall engineering.
