Description
St. Lawrence College is seeking a single architectural consulting firm to lead a multidisciplinary consultant team for the phased renovation of medical laboratory simulation environments in the Tan Wing at the Kingston Campus. The scope includes programming and planning, existing-conditions assessment, stakeholder workshops, space planning, adjacency analysis, schematic design, design development, interior finishes, building-code and accessibility review, permit submissions, construction drawings and specifications, engineering coordination, laboratory environmental systems, audiovisual and information-technology coordination, cost estimating, value engineering, and risk management. The consultant will support three laboratory phases: chemistry, hematology and transfusion, and microbiology and histology simulation spaces. Services also include procurement and tender support, bidder-inquiry responses, addenda, tender review, construction site reviews, progress meetings, shop-drawing review, change management, deficiency reporting, substantial-performance certification, and project closeout. The agreement term is 36 months, with an option for the College to extend it by up to 12 months. Proposals are evaluated on experience, team qualifications, methodology, phasing and operational-continuity strategy, stakeholder engagement, scheduling, cost control, sustainability, accessibility, innovation, and pricing.
