Description
The Housing Authority of the County of Contra Costa is seeking a qualified, licensed, and insured contractor for the Kidd Manor Public Housing Development backup generator replacement project. The work includes furnishing and installing a new generator, modifying the existing electrical system for the system tie-in, installing a make-up air system and louvered grille ducting, installing gas piping, removing an existing door, creating an exterior-wall opening, and installing a new louvered grille. The plans specify a natural-gas generator with no fuel tank and require compliance with applicable California codes, fire-safety requirements, NFPA standards, and manufacturer recommendations. Pricing must include general-contractor labor, subcontractor labor, materials and tax, permits and fees, business licensing, and overhead and profit. The project is subject to Davis-Bacon wage requirements and HUD Section 3 requirements. The successful bidder must provide insurance, licensing, business-license, contractor-license, and W-9 documentation before award; these items are not part of the bid submission. Work is anticipated under an initial 90-calendar-day contract period, with award based on the lowest responsive and responsible calculated cost. The solicitation requires online entry of pricing and submission of digital bid documents through HACCC's e-procurement system.
