Description
The City of Rocky Mount is soliciting proposals for urgent rehabilitation work at 11 single-family homes. The scope varies by property and includes HVAC and ductwork replacement, plumbing fixtures and water-heater work, electrical-panel and service upgrades, roofing and structural repairs, flooring, cabinetry, doors, handrails, guardrails, painting, drywall, and related carpentry. Contractors must provide labor, materials, permits and inspections when applicable, comply with applicable North Carolina and local building codes, and perform work in a quality and workmanlike manner. The maximum budget is $20,000 per housing repair project. The proposal package includes property-specific work write-ups and pricing for each listed address. Licensed electrical, plumbing, and HVAC contractors are required where applicable; lead-safety documentation is required for work on pre-1978 properties. The selected contractor must complete each project within 30 consecutive calendar days after the Notice to Proceed, and the solicitation requires attendance at the mandatory pre-bid site visit.
