The Village of Hempstead Housing Authority is soliciting sealed bid proposals from a general contractor for facade rehabilitation at MacArthur Houses, located at 260 Clinton Street, Hempstead, New York. The scope of work and specifications will be available beginning October 1, 2026, through the authority's administrative office, website, or designated email address. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked “Facade Rehabilitation at MacArthur Houses Sealed Bid Do Not Open.” A mandatory pre-bid walk-through is scheduled for October 19, 2026. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud on November 23, 2026, at 3:00 p.m.; the notice also states that bids will not be accepted after November 16, 2026. Minority-, women-owned, and Section 3 business enterprises are encouraged to apply.
