Description

The City of Miami is soliciting bids for as-needed, citywide storm drain system cleaning services. The scope includes hydraulic cleaning and wet-vacuum removal of sediment, debris, floatables, tree roots, and other materials from inlets, manholes, stormwater pipes, French drains, covered ditches, outfalls, pollution-control structures, and deep drainage wells. Services also include video-camera inspections, GIS data collection and updates, reporting, dewatering, emergency cleaning, underwater cleaning, pneumatic plugging, debris testing and disposal, and restoration of damage caused by the contractor. The contractor must provide labor, equipment, vacuum trucks, water, fuel, transportation, disposal, traffic control, and at least two crews. Minimum qualifications include three consecutive years performing the required services, an applicable Florida contractor or drainage-and-paving license, and a current Miami-Dade County Class V dewatering permit. The contract is for three years, with two additional two-year renewal options, and is awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder on a primary, secondary, and tertiary basis. The bid requires completion of the City’s forms and price sheet, references, applicable licenses and permits, and electronic submission through BidNet.
