Description

The City of East Providence is soliciting a turnkey solution for six ENERGY STAR-certified commercial Level 2 dual-port electric vehicle charging stations. The scope includes furnishing and delivering the charging hardware; concrete foundations, trenching, electrical panels, conduit, wiring, permits, utility coordination, ADA-accessible parking improvements, signage and striping; protective steel bollards; testing and commissioning; and complete network activation. The contractor must provide integrated cellular communications, RFID and contactless payment capabilities, remote monitoring, diagnostics, reporting, automated payment processing, revenue collection or reimbursement, and OCPP 1.6J-or-higher compliance. Pricing includes a minimum three-year cloud network subscription and a minimum three-year comprehensive hardware warranty and maintenance support. Proposals must address company qualifications, technical approach and schedule, equipment specifications, trenching and pad design, ADA layout, network software capabilities, at least three similar municipal or commercial EV charging references completed within the past three years, and itemized pricing. The project must be fully installed and operational by December 5, 2026, and is subject to prevailing-wage, bonding, insurance, and MBE/WBE/VBE participation requirements.
