Description
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, through the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Division of Purchases, seeks a contractor to provide annual dielectric and structural testing services for equipment used by the Division of Equipment. Estimated annual quantities are 36 structural analysis tests and 36 AC dielectric tests; quantities are not guaranteed. Testing must follow the most recent OSHA requirements and occur during the same month as prior inspections when possible. The scope includes AC dielectric testing of upper and lower booms, basket liners, and insulating oil; bonding components in the upper boom; magnetic-particle testing of critical welded areas; ultrasonic testing of critical structural components; and written verification documenting compliance. The contractor must provide testing documentation identifying the state unit number, testing date and time, and location. The resulting master agreement has an initial period beginning January 1, 2027, and expiring January 31, 2028, with four additional one-year renewal periods available by mutual written approval.
