Description
The Village of Burdett is soliciting a contractor to provide snow removal and ice treatment for a Village-owned parking lot serving the Village Hall and Fire Department. Services include clearing the full parking lot width, adjoining crosswalks, and approaches; moving snow to an agreed location; and preventing drifts or obstructions that could hinder future removal. The contractor must begin operations when snow or ice reaches two inches, including nights and weekends, and must supply its own employees, equipment, and materials. Ice treatment requires mechanically spreading calcium chloride or an approved substitute during ice events and after snow removal. Pricing must be provided on a per-event basis, including an overtime rate if applicable. The contractor must maintain a $1 million liability insurance policy, provide proof to the Village, and accept responsibility for property damage caused by its operations.
