Description

This invitation for bid covers replacement of the deficient six-barrel corrugated metal arch pipe culvert on Holzwarth Access Road with a prefabricated steel girder bridge and cast-in-place concrete deck. The work includes removal of the existing culvert and diversion box; construction of concrete abutments, wingwalls, and micropile foundations; installation of a 10-foot-wide by 48-foot-long modular steel vehicular bridge with pedestrian railing; temporary stream diversion and Class 1 and Class 3 riprap; structural excavation and backfill; roadway aggregate surfacing and reconditioning; erosion control, seeding, and mulching; and temporary traffic diversion, widening, and truck turnaround work. The contractor must also relocate an existing electrical line and salvage and relocate historic headgate assemblies into a reconstructed concrete diversion box. The solicitation requires a printed, sealed bid package, an original bid guarantee, completed solicitation and bid forms, bidder information and applicable authority-to-bind certifications, Buy American and hazardous-material information where applicable, and other listed representations. The estimated total project cost is $700,000 to $2,000,000. The contract is firm fixed price, with performance beginning within the period specified after award and completion required by November 2027.
