Description
The City of Oakland's Equipment Services Division is seeking a qualified supplier for bulk lubricants used in light-duty vehicles, heavy trucks, off-road machinery, and specialized equipment. Required products include engine oils, transmission fluids, hydraulic fluids, gear oils, grease, and related products, including the listed DEF fluid, Chevron Rando hydraulic oils, Allison-approved transmission fluid, and specified 5W-20 and 15W-40 engine oils or equivalents. The contractor must provide fixed unit pricing inclusive of freight and delivery, with no guaranteed purchase quantities, and may also be asked to supply additional or unlisted lubricants under a discount-off-list or cost-plus pricing structure. The scope includes delivery to designated fleet maintenance locations, optional storage solutions, safe and environmentally compliant handling, product data and safety data sheets, quality assurance, technical consultation, requested personnel training, assistance with used-lubricant reclamation or disposal, delivery tickets, invoicing, quarterly or semiannual performance reviews, and annual usage and expenditure reporting. Products must meet or exceed applicable OEM, SAE, API, ISO, CARB, CalEPA, Cal/OSHA, and other regulatory requirements. Routine requests require a response within one business day and delivery within two to three business days; emergency deliveries are expected within 24 hours when practicable.
