Description
The City seeks a vendor to manage seasonal kayak and stand-up paddleboard rentals, primarily at South Marina Beach on Utah Lake, with a possible future expansion to North Marina. The vendor is responsible for the rental fleet, staffing, daily operations, safety equipment and briefings, participant monitoring, and cleaning and litter removal within the concession and storage areas. The City provides a basic concession building, fenced storage area, security measures, and public boat launches at both marinas. Proposals may also include optional food and beverage concessions or motorized watercraft rentals. Concession operators must source beverages through Admiral Beverages under the City's Pepsi exclusivity agreement and provide their own food-service appliances and point-of-sale internet. Motorized rental proposals must include a fuel management and safety plan. The vendor must obtain required business and health permits and provide proof of at least $2 million in comprehensive liability insurance, including watercraft rental coverage. Proposals must include the vendor's qualifications and experience, business and safety plans, and proposed revenue shares for Year 1 and Year 2 onward.
