Description
The Port of Galveston is soliciting proposals from experienced and qualified microgrid companies for the turnkey development, design, construction, ownership, operation, maintenance, and transfer of a new resilient pilot microgrid capable of supplying up to 3-5 megawatts to a docked roll-on/roll-off cargo ship at berth. The project is intended to provide a microgrid solution consistent with the Port Authority Studies & Pilot Projects Grant Program, administered by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. The solicitation requires a proposal response and a monthly lease fee. The selected partner would be responsible for the complete microgrid lifecycle, including engineering, integration, installation, construction, operations, maintenance, and eventual transfer.
