Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole-source, firm-priced contract for five years to provide blood and blood products required for transfusions at the Altoona VA Medical Center. The requirement includes red blood cells, O-negative and AB plasma surcharges, PR and LVDS platelets, plasma, irradiation, deglycerolization, freezing, expedited STAT processing, unscheduled shipping, and reference laboratory charges. Products and services must be FDA regulated and available for delivery within one hour of notification for emergent patient use. This is a notice of intent rather than a request for competitive quotes; interested firms may submit written capability statements demonstrating that they are a direct supplier or service provider, or an authorized reseller/distributor, along with relevant experience and contract information.
