Description
The Defense Logistics Agency is seeking one blood cell staining kit, NSN 6550-00-109-2353, sufficient to stain 1,000 microscope slides. The kit must provide Wright's stain for use with an Ames Hematek slide stainer, Romanowsky-type methodology using modified polychrome methylene blue or a combination of thiazine and xanthine dyes, and storage at 59degF to 86degF (15degC to 30degC). The item is subject to damage by freezing and must have a 12-month, non-extendable shelf life, with no more than one month elapsed from manufacture to delivery. The solicitation requires commercial packaging and medical marking, hazardous-material compliance, and a current Material Safety Data Sheet. The MSDS must accompany each shipment and be transmitted to the designated DLA mailbox. Alternate products require complete technical data for evaluation. The required delivery period is 20 days after award, FOB destination.
