Description
The City of McHenry is seeking a contractor to rehabilitate the Donovan Lift Station. The work includes removing and replacing two submersible sewage pumps and associated motors, cables, base elbows, guide rails, supports, lifting chains, piping, fittings, plug valves, check valves, and related appurtenances. The contractor will also install an owner-provided stainless-steel control enclosure, reconnect communications and generator status wiring, install conduit and wiring, perform pump testing, and provide traffic control, sanitary sewer flow control, bypass pumping, site restoration, cleanup, and related incidental work. The project is a lump-sum public-works contract subject to Illinois prevailing-wage requirements. Bidders must submit the provided bid forms, a bid bond of at least 5% of the bid amount or $500, whichever is greater, and references for three similar projects completed within the previous 12 months. Payment and performance bonds are required for contracts of $50,000 or more, with the performance bond equal to 100% of the agreement value. The work must be completed within 21 calendar days after commencement, subject to the stated notice-to-proceed and contract-execution schedule.
