Description
Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government is seeking aviation insurance for its centralized unmanned aircraft systems program, which supports law enforcement, fire, emergency medical services, emergency management, public works, infrastructure inspections, disaster response, search and rescue, and special events. The insured fleet includes multiple drone platforms and associated specialty equipment operated by authorized, FAA-certified pilots, including operations conducted under a Beyond Visual Line of Sight authorization. Proposers must provide quotations for aviation premises liability coverage of at least $5,000,000 per occurrence, UAS physical damage coverage on a blanket basis for the statement of values, available deductible options, applicable Medical Payments coverage, and Terrorism Risk Insurance Act coverage as a separate line item. Optional endorsements and enhanced coverage provisions may also be proposed. Evaluation is based on proposed cost, insurance coverages and options, and the proposed carrier and agency/broker rating. The submission must also include an IT Risk Assessment Questionnaire or SOC Type 2 Audit Report, required human-relations documentation, a current W-9, vendor information, preference certifications, proposed cost, proposed coverage and options, and carrier and agency/broker rating information.
