Description
The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation is soliciting proposals for a single operator to run a seasonal food, beverage, and camp store concession at Southwick Beach State Park. The concession includes a fully outfitted kitchen, camp store, indoor and outdoor dining areas, and associated equipment. Required operations include daily service from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, followed by weekend service through Columbus Day, with menus offering varied, healthy food and beverage options. Beer and wine sales, catered events, and a mobile food and beverage unit may be permitted subject to applicable approvals and licensing. The licensee will be responsible for all operating costs, routine maintenance and repairs, staffing, training, food-service and alcohol-service compliance, point-of-sale systems and reporting, environmental requirements, and applicable insurance and financial security. Proposals must include a minimum annual license fee of $2,000, a business plan and annual pro forma, operations and maintenance plans, menus and pricing, marketing strategy, key-personnel resumes, relevant experience, at least three current references, financial-capacity evidence, and required certifications and forms. The initial license term is January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2029, with a possible mutually agreed extension of up to two additional years.
