Description
Sante Quebec Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean – Universitaire is acquiring one new device for measuring liver elasticity for use by gastroenterology and internal medicine services. The device must support standardized, painless, non-invasive assessment of liver fibrosis, cirrhosis, steatosis, and other chronic liver diseases; measure splenic stiffness; use vibration-controlled transient elastography (VCTE); quantify steatosis through controlled attenuation parameter (CAP); and not operate through magnetic resonance imaging. The equipment must be mounted on a mobile cart with at least a 19-inch touchscreen and washable touchscreen keyboard. Requirements also include a Quebec service point, a 12-month warranty, free on-site user training in French, Health Canada approval, compliance with CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 60601-1 or CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 601, and an approval seal from a certification body recognized by the Régie du bâtiment du Québec. The device and all components must be new.
