Description
The Mohawk Valley Water Authority is soliciting sealed bids for the Champlin Avenue Valve Insertion and Hinckley Line Stops Project. The base scope includes furnishing labor, equipment, and materials to install one 20-inch vertical or horizontal insertion valve with valve boxes and appurtenances; concrete encasement; a stone working pad; excavation, backfill, grading, and compaction; protection of existing utilities and structures; pressure testing; site restoration; and required permitting and insurance in accordance with New York State Department of Transportation and MVWA standards. Additive work includes installing two 42-inch line stops on existing 42-inch by 24-inch tapping sleeves, including 24-inch bypass piping, coordination with MVWA and other contractors, and related construction requirements. Bids must use the provided forms, include five percent bid security, and be submitted by an eligible bidder that obtained the bidding documents from MVWA and registered on the bidders list.
