Description
The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission's Winter Recreation Program is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide trail grooming services for approximately 76 miles of designated snowmobile trails within the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest in King, Pierce, Kittitas, and Yakima Counties, Washington. Services include grooming trails to at least 10 feet wide, clearing downed trees, installing and maintaining signage, and providing daily grooming logs and GPS tracking data. Bidders must submit equipment information and photos, a backup plan for equipment failure, proof of equipment ownership or control, pricing, experience, an operating plan, capacity information, references, required certifications, and applicable subcontracting documentation. Subcontracting requires prior written approval. The contract covers five winter seasons, typically December 1 through March 31, with a potential extension up to ten years total.
