Description
The Grand Prairie Water Commission is soliciting bids for construction of approximately 7.3 miles of 66-inch finished water transmission main extending from northern Palos Park to an intermediate standpipe and pumping station on Bell Road in Lemont, Illinois. The work includes excavation, trenching, shoring, dewatering, pipeline and appurtenance installation, cathodic protection equipment and test stations, utility coordination, traffic control, erosion control, surface and roadway restoration, hydrostatic testing, and disinfection. The project is subject to applicable project labor agreements, prevailing-wage requirements, and potentially Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and Davis-Bacon Act requirements. The procurement is expected to receive partial funding through an EPA WIFIA loan. Bidding documents require an approved confidentiality and nondisclosure agreement, and eligible bidders will receive controlled-access bid-portal instructions. Bids are submitted electronically; detailed submittal requirements are contained in the bidding documents, including Section 00 21 00, which was not provided.
