Description
UChicago Argonne, LLC, operator of Argonne National Laboratory under contract with the U.S. Department of Energy, is soliciting proposals to establish two blanket purchase agreements for rapid-response general construction services. The scope includes modifications, repairs, construction, alterations, and installations involving architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work at Argonne facilities and other directed sites. Contractors must furnish labor, equipment, materials, supplies, transportation, qualified supervision, and other incidentals necessary to perform the work. The BPAs will have a one-year base period and two one-year options. Individual firm-fixed-price task orders are generally expected not to exceed $350,000, and the laboratory estimates approximately 50 task orders per year, with a potential aggregate value of $500,000 to $4,000,000 per BPA; these estimates do not guarantee any minimum ordering. Award will use a best-value trade-off methodology. Payment and performance bonds of $4,000,000 each are required after award, and insurance certificates are required before physical work begins. Proposals must include pricing on the provided Proposal Form and comply with the stated construction, safety, wage, bonding, and subcontracting requirements.
