The City of Woonsocket is soliciting bids from a licensed lead hazard reduction contractor for work at 60 Bernice Avenue, including treatment of damaged lead-painted areas identified through a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development-regulated Comprehensive Environmental Lead Inspection. The scope includes interior and exterior containment, paint stabilization and recoating, window and door repairs or replacement, porch and railing work, soil remediation, cleaning, debris disposal, permits, and related structural repairs identified in the work write-up. The contractor must use properly trained and licensed lead workers and supervisors, comply with applicable Rhode Island, federal, and local requirements, provide required safety and containment measures, and achieve Lead-Safe status through post-abatement environmental lead inspection before final payment. Work must commence within 10 calendar days after formal contract execution or award notification, as applicable, and substantial completion is required within seven days of commencement per unit. A mandatory site walkthrough is required, and bidders must submit the specified bid forms together with contractor, lead-remediation, and staff licensing documentation.
