Description
This service contract is for the processing of water samples for the Renal Dialysis Unit at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System. The required services include Colony Forming Unit, LALs, AAMI, and Fluid Balance testing. These tests are essential for ensuring patient safety and are mandated by the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) and equipment manufacturers. The contract is anticipated to have a one-year base period with four one-year option periods. The Statement of Work provides detailed monthly and annual quantities for each type of test, including provisions for redraws if samples do not meet standards or if equipment requires re-culturing before returning to service. The Medical Instrument Technicians are responsible for collecting, packaging, and sending samples to the selected laboratory for processing, and will receive results via email. Interested parties are instructed to submit their responses via email to eric.lingenfelter@va.gov by July 10, 2026, 5:00 PM PDT. Responses should include company contact information, business size and type, and details on any Federal Supply Schedule contracts. Additionally, contractors must provide information on three past contracts for similar services and answer specific questions regarding their ability to comply with the SOW requirements, experience in processing water samples for renal dialysis, and plans for using subcontractors.
