Description
The University of Washington is requesting proposals for the design, specifications, fabrication, and installation of a Public Safety Distributed Antenna System (PS DAS) to enhance radio coverage for first responders and UW Facilities radios within the Central Plaza Garage. The project aims to ensure reliable in-building RF coverage. As a secondary objective, pending costs, UW-IT intends to deploy a neutral host Cellular Distributed Antenna System (C DAS) to provide commercial cellular RF coverage. The project will require the installation of additional power, cabling pathways, and potentially core drilling. Coordination with PSERN for public safety frequencies, UW Facilities for their radio frequencies, and the UW Fire Alarm Shop will be necessary. The estimated cost for this project is $1,200,000.
