Description
U.S. Customs and Border Protection is seeking industry feedback on commercially available, modified, or custom-configured Class 4 Inshore Patrol Vessels for U.S. Border Patrol missions. The requirement covers two vessel categories: Patrol Boat-Small vessels no longer than 25 feet for shallow and obstructed waterways, and Patrol Boat-Medium vessels from 25 to 29 feet for rougher open waters, including coastal areas and the Great Lakes. The envisioned vessels are deep-V, marine-grade aluminum monohulls capable of high-speed patrol, interdiction, search and rescue, reconnaissance, law enforcement, and maritime-awareness operations. Requirements include twin Mercury Marine outboard engines, 40-knot maximum speed, specified endurance and range, shock-mitigating crew seating, weather-tight cabins, trailers, emergency equipment, navigation and communications systems, radar, AIS, GPS, sonar, electro-optical/infrared equipment, and integration of mission systems. Respondents are asked to provide feedback on technical compliance, commercial or custom solutions, risks, warranty terms, estimated pricing, production capacity, delivery schedules, and relevant experience.
