Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs seeks recurring waste management services for hazardous, non-hazardous, pharmaceutical, and universal waste. The contractor will provide collection, packaging, sampling and analysis as needed, transportation, treatment or disposal, and required manifests and other documentation. The scope also includes initial hazardous-waste orientation training, spill-response support, waste minimization reviews and reporting, and a centralized online waste-tracking system. The waste streams include hazardous and non-hazardous pharmaceuticals, chemicals, aerosols, batteries, and lamps. The contract is structured as a one-year base period with four one-year options. The price schedule includes an annual pickup of expired pharmaceutical cache materials and quarterly services for facility waste streams. The solicitation requires technical capability information, a completed limitations-on-subcontracting certificate, at least three recent and relevant past-performance references, and a completed price schedule. The solicitation is set aside for certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses; the offeror’s status must be verified in the SBA certification system at submission and award.
