Description
The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation is seeking a contractor to identify, evaluate, and document potential failure modes and indicators of failure for the Paradox Valley Unit injection well. The work must address surface, subsurface, and reservoir systems; single-point, multiple-point, cascading, and catastrophic failures; mechanical integrity; injection pressures and rates; geomechanical conditions; reservoir capacity; and operational risks affecting injection capability, regulatory compliance, repairability, and service life. The contractor must develop detection and diagnostic methods, monitoring recommendations, performance metrics, quality-control techniques, and best available technologies. Deliverables include a project schedule, draft and final reports, electronic data attachments, and teleconference progress meetings. Work must be supervised by a registered professional engineer, and the final report must bear the supervising engineer's original signature and stamp. The solicitation requires qualified personnel with at least 10 years of relevant industry experience and expertise in deep high-pressure brine disposal wells, petroleum engineering, geology and geomechanics, reservoir analysis, and well-integrity evaluation.
