Description
This invitation to bid covers renovation of the 12th floor of the Carvel State Office Building. The work includes replacing fire-protection piping and sprinkler heads up to the vertical risers; replacing dimmable office LED lighting, ceiling lights, wall sconces, chandeliers, and related lighting controls; replacing ceiling areas that have not been recently replaced; and performing associated electrical demolition, wiring, conduit, supports, firestopping, testing, commissioning, and finish repairs. The project also includes required alternates for emergency wall packs and an exterior security floodlight with photocell controls. The contractor must provide labor, materials, equipment, permits, coordination, prevailing-wage compliance, subcontractor listings, drug-testing compliance, and closeout documentation. A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site walk are required before bidding. A bid security equal to at least 10% of the bid amount plus additive alternates is required; the successful bidder must provide 100% performance and payment bonds. The contract documents specify contractor insurance, including commercial general liability, automobile liability, workers' compensation, and employers' liability coverage.
