Description
Napa County is soliciting construction services for the Planning, Building, and Environmental Services Department remodel on the second floor of the Napa County Administration Building. The scope includes modifications to reception and administration areas, the copy room, permit center, west-side cubicle layout, and private offices; construction of two conference rooms and four private offices; furniture relocation and installation; flooring alternates; HVAC, electrical, lighting, data, access-control, and fire-alarm work; and an upgrade to the Administration Building's fire alarm control panel. Additive alternates may be included at contract signing. Construction will occur in an occupied, operational facility that remains open to staff and the public. The contractor must coordinate access and activities to minimize disruption, with normal work hours from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., and may not begin before the notice-to-proceed date. The engineer's estimate is $1,300,000. The contractor must possess a California Class B license, be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations for public works, provide three qualifying government capital-improvement project summaries, submit bid security equal to 10% of the total bid, and furnish 100% performance and labor-and-material bonds if awarded.
