Description
Waco Independent School District is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to provide a stop loss insurance policy for the district's self-insured insurance purchases. The policy is expected to begin January 1, 2027, and continue for a one-year term through December 31, 2027. Vendors may propose a second-year option and must state the maximum increase for year two; the district prefers no new laser for the second year. Proposals will be evaluated on price and long-term cost, experience and reputation, coordination with medical and pharmaceutical carriers, plan mirroring, claim reimbursement timeliness, insurer financial strength and rating, external references, and the extent to which the offering meets the district's needs. The submission must include the district's required forms, references, and the consultant-provided workbook, which contains multiple tabs that must all be completed. The district will award to one successful bidder and may award at its November 2026 Board meeting.
